SUMMARY: zfs snapshot
I figured it out. The "-r" will put a .zfs directory and snapshot at every
directory level instead of just at the root level.
Originial question:
Can anyone explain the "-r" option for zfs snapshot command? I currently use
a
command similiar to:
zfs snapshot data-pool/data-pool@Tuesday which does traverse through the
filesystem and get all of the directories/files.
However,
the man page says the "-r" recursively creates snapshots of all
descendant datasets. What's the difference?
